New Season  from Ian Mankin

Seriously stripey and more ! I have never seen a range of fabrics as user friendly as this new collection from Ian Mankin. The new range includes hundreds of co-ordinate stripes, checks, gingham, floral damask, jacquards, plains, voiles and velvet. Create a look that's feminine, masculine or inbetween, the choice is yours. You will not believe the selection and the colourways available..  All are 100% cotton or linen from organic sources. All except the cotton voile are suitable for both curtains and upholstery. I am looking forward in particular to using the stripes for Roman Blinds. The velvets are really rich in colour and texture and look fantastic as a contrast to the naturals. Velvet is huge at the moment and trimmed with some bobbled or beaded braids , make a fantastic pair of custom made curtains. Prices are really keen at €25 to €55 per m for the Ian Mankin Range .
Also available to match for the 1st year is a co-ordinate book of wallpapers .

 Floral Fabrics from Designers Guild

This season’s printed fabrics are inspired by the bohemian artists and avant garde designers who sought to re-discover beauty as part of the Aesthetic Movement of the late 19th century. The new designs capture that attention to detail, brilliance of colour and passion for nature so recognisable in the works of the Pre- Raphaelite painters, and bring with it a sense of modernity that has a reformed masculine, tailored edge.

The result is contemporary pattern - where beautifully detailed floral prints, that have a classical edge, are combined with more masculine smaller scale designs that draw on organic textures and natural colours.

HINT: Dont be scared - use sparingly with lots of lush plain velvet's or silk.

The colour palette is lustrous from violet, azure, cobalt and fuchsia, but combined with more organic shades such as of olive, slate and chalk giving an extra element of depth and dimension.

Our innovative range of Contract fabrics are designed for peak product performance and cost awareness. 
Antibacterial fabrics and contemporary designs from our contract collection are helping to create a clean, modern and welcoming environment for patients and staff in hospitals and nursing homes across Ireland and the UK. In fact our range was used in the oncology unit in the Nutfield Hospital in the UK. The X-Static anti-bacterial base cloth was chosen for curtains throughout the new ward, aiding infection control and providing an attractive environment, conducive to patient well being.
Manufactured using pure silver yarns, woven into a Trevira CS base, the X-Static cloth uses the natural mechanical process of ionisation to eliminate bacteria and does not require any chemical agents. The silver yarn, which is only visible on close inspection, increases confidence among staff and patients, without compromising on aesthetics. The ranges we use are chosen to create a relaxed calming environment, with easy maintenance and maximum impact. 

Safety and style are of course priority for any healthcare environment. The X-Static base cloth and attractive fabric design mean we never have to compromise on either. The look we achieve is of hotel standard but with the hygienic properties of world class standard.
