New beginnings  & bedding

Do you like September? For me it is time of new beginnings . The design shows are in full swing and there is excitement around the launch of new products for the Autumn & Winter season. Not to be outdone by London Fashion week the design industry has London design week and starting on 20th September we have Decorex in London. Here we Get to see the latest collections from the best interior design  suppliers .
I just love London and although its busy, there are always places to find rest and relaxation . There are plenty of  parks and little oasis of quiet and calm. We usually hop on  London bikes and wander off to the various locations on our to do list. It is always preferable than negotiating tube stations in my opinion.
My favourite places to visit once I have met our suppliers and ordered our new collections are the various interior stores that we don't have here in Ireland .
if you are dressing your bed or looking for a new look this Autumn here are my recommendations .

1. Start with Arnotts for the basics . Good duvets and pillows will make your bed more comfortable and look sumptuous . After years of trying out various pillows I eventually forked out for Arnotts own brand Siberian goose pillows and duvet . Honestly the pillows are so comfortable and worth every penny. They are  not cheap at over €90 each but two are sufficient on a double bed and you can layer with two square pillows behind it .
2 . For  duvet covers and pillow cases try Arnotts and The Paul Costello collection at Dunnes Stores

3. Some of my favourite bedlinen, pillows throws and cushions come from Zara Home and West Elm . they both deliver to Ireland and offer a hassle free service .  I will be heading to both of these when I am in London as I like to see and feel the products I am recommending .

Top Tip .... buy the basics in the Sales/ duvets and pillows are often reduced by 40%.

Here are some images of the new collections now available in the stores.

With prices from under €20 for a pillow sham to €199 for a quilted throw there is something for everyone.

Looking forward to to the new season . Do let me know how you get on or if you plan to make any changes this season .
