Study: Wooden shutters and blinds improve insulation by 50%

We all know its cold out there & its time to cosy up for the winter. Did you know that The Edinburgh World Heritage trust did a survey that showed wooden shutters or blinds can reduce heat loss by up to 50%? They used thermal imaging cameras to monitor heat loss and demonstrate that simple measures such as closing blinds and shutters at night can have dramatic effects on the amount of heat lost from your home. They claim that wooden blinds and shutters can be just as effective in conserving heat as double glazing.
